The City Council will also review additional issues identified during the year to determine if they should become Council goals for 2016-17. Attached is the agenda for the day, which is flexible as this is a strategic planning session. The City Council will determine the priority topics and the order the items are discussed.

The City's Mission Statement is:

Create an unsurpassed quality of life for our residents and guests by providing superior public safety, exceptional service and outstanding amenities that will further enhance our image as a prestigious community and international resort destination.

The current City Goals are:

1. Create a Ten-year Financial Strategy
2. Encourage and Expand Economic Development Opportunities
3. Create a Flood Mitigation Plan with Community Partners (on hold)
4. Beautify the Highway 111 Corridor

The Council also identified two Action Plans

1. Strengthen Contract Administration
2. Provide Property Owner Privileges to Lessee's Through a Resident Identification Card (completed)
Reports regarding progress on goals 1, 2 and 4 are included. Each report identifies additional City Council direction needed to further the goal.
